We are committed to a range of evolving Environment & Fair Trade ethical policies as we strive to support sustainability in our world:
  1.
  2. 1. Zero Tolerance for Child Labour: We strictly prohibit child labour and ensure our suppliers comply through regular on-site inspections and annual visits from our UK staff.
  3.
  4. 2. Workplace Equality: We prioritise equal employment and compensation for both men and women.
  5.
  6. 3. Worker Benefits: We guarantee that our workers are safe and insured, meeting all local safety regulations while providing a supportive work environment.
  7.
  8. 4. Educational Support for Workers’ Children: We offer educational opportunities for the children of our workers and are committed to increasing funding for these initiatives.
  9.
  10. 5. Comprehensive Training: All workers receive top-notch training, including traditional skills like hand tie-dyeing and specialized embroidery, taught by master craftsmen. This ensures the preservation and enhancement of traditional garment-making skills.
  11.
  12.  6. Environmental Responsibility: We require our factories to use locally sourced fabrics to support the local economy, reduce poverty, and minimise transport-related emissions.
  13.
  14. 7. Reduction of CO2 Emissions: We prioritize shipping by sea to the UK rather than by air, significantly lowering fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  15.
  16. 8. Non-Toxic Dyes: We exclusively use environmentally friendly dyes, including AZO-free options, that pose no harm to our workers or the planet.
  17.
  18. 9. Timely Payments: We ensure prompt payments to our suppliers, helping them maintain cash flow and fulfil their ethical commitments to workers.
  19.
  20. 10. Sustainability Initiatives: We utilise sustainable materials whenever feasible. For instance, our mail order catalogues are printed on high-quality paper from FSC-certified forests with organic vegetable-based inks (please recycle or pass them on). We also use recyclable and biodegradable packaging for all shipping of goods. We promote recycling across all facets of our operations.

Our primary factories are members of the AEPC, the leading regulator of fashion exporters in India, which plays a vital role in upholding our ethical standards.
Additionally, they are SEDEX Certified, part of a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing responsible and ethical business practices within global supply chains.

We visit our factories twice a year and have an Adini (India based) QC team who visit factories every day to make sure necessary standards are always met.
